HEALTH

We strive to ensure that communities have access to basic health services, including preventive health care, maternal and child care, and treatment of common illnesses.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

We work to empower women and girls, promoting equal opportunities in access to education, healthcare and employment, and combating gender discrimination in all its forms.

Where do we work?

The heart of Mbele is in Kenya and Uganda, in East Africa. Our school program is starting in Ikoba, a rural region of Uganda close to Lake Alberta. Health and women's empowerment programs are being developed in Kenya, in two locations: Gatanga, near the capital, and Masai Mara, home of the Masai tribes.

OUR PROJECTS IN PROGRESS

We have registered almost 50 people in the Kenya National Health System (NHIF) which guarantees their medical assistance. 30 of these people are women living in Masai Mara, who are giving birth in a hospital for the first time.

We have also purchased an electrocardiographic monitor for babies born at Kirwara hospital, near Gatanga.

Since September 2023 we have covered the school fees of several children whose parents had great difficulty paying.
Now Simon, Carlos, Rose, Shantell, Dylan, Chris, Fabian, Ryan and Joseph are guaranteed an education at school in Gatanga, Kenya.

Last Christmas we asked the three wise men to visit the children of the orphanage in Kenya. Contrary to expectations, no one asked for toys, but rather backpacks for school.
We wish you could have seen the excitement of all those children and teenagers (from 1 to 18 years old) when they saw that the wise men had left their gifts in the middle of the night. We don't know how they got there, but we hope they return next year!

We collaborate with two women empowerment programs in Kenya looking for points of sale for the manually made products of these wonderful women.
