OUR STORY

Mbele means going forward...

Our history

Mbele means going forward

This beautiful adventure began in 2023 in Gatanga, Kenya, where the three founders of Mbele met as part of a volunteering experience.

We started this adventure almost from scratch, but with a firm commitment to maintain our projects in the long term.

Getting to know that little piece of Africa, its people, its incredible women and its beautiful children, increased the conviction we already had from home to share part of our time and energy in supporting development projects in this part of the world. Why? Because in Kenya and Uganda many people live without being able to access the most basic things, privileges that on this side of the sea we take for granted, such as education and health.

That is why at Mbele we want to walk together, moving forward, creating projects led by local staff, providing tools for community development.

THIS IS US

OUR PARTNERS

Together we can make a difference

In Uganda, we collaborate with the Spanish NGO Rafiki Africa and its local counterpart , the NGO Kukorra Hamu.

Thanks to this collaboration we now have the necessary land to build a school in Ikoba in addition to the necessary contacts with future teachers and other personnel in charge of the school.

In Kenya we collaborate with the NGO Destiny Gates Foundation , which has projects in two very different regions, Gatanga and Masai Mara.

In both places we already have a project underway with which we help vulnerable families cover health expenses, something especially important in the Masai Mara region, where access to medical centers is very limited.

In addition, we collaborate with a women empowerment project, which through the sale of totebags and natural soaps allows women to obtain a small monthly income. These groups constitute a safe place for women, a group of friends with whom they can share life and feel welcomed and listened to.

If you want to know more about this project and the points of sale of the totebags, follow us on:
